Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Felix Assouline Cigars (“we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through this website, our online shop, The Jamastrán Society and The Cabinet Letter. Our site is intended only for adults aged 21 or older.
1. What we collect
- Order and membership details: your name, email, phone number, delivery and billing address, what you bought, and gift messages.
- Age verification: the date of birth you enter at checkout. We use it to confirm you are 21 or older and keep only the result of that check with your order.
- Payment information: card details are entered into fields that are encrypted in your browser by our payment processor, Authorize.Net. Your full card number never reaches our servers. We receive only the transaction result, the card type and its last four digits.
- Messages: what you send us through the enquiry form or by email.
- Newsletter and allocation list: your email address, your first name if you give it, and the date you subscribed and confirmed.
- Technical information: our web host records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security. With your permission, analytics cookies collect information about how the site is used (see Cookies).
2. How we use it
- To process, ship and support your orders and Society deliveries.
- To verify that you are of legal age to buy tobacco products, as the law requires.
- To charge your card, and for Society members to charge it on each delivery until you cancel.
- To reply to your enquiries.
- To send The Cabinet Letter and allocation notices, only if you ask us to. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- To keep the site secure, prevent fraud and meet our legal and tax obligations.
- With your consent, to understand which pages are useful so we can improve the site.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers who help us run the shop, under contracts that limit their use of it:
- Authorize.Net (payment processing and recurring billing).
- Shipping carriers, for delivery.
- Our web host and email provider, to run this site and send order and membership emails.
- Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces this site is set in. Your browser fetches them from Google, which receives your IP address; Google Fonts sets no cookies.
- Authorities, where required by law, for example tax or age-verification records.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies and similar browser storage:

Images and scripts are served from our own site. Our typefaces come from Google Fonts, which sets no cookies. We load no trackers from third parties without your consent.
5. How long we keep it
Order, payment-result and age-verification records are kept for as long as tax and tobacco laws require, usually seven years. Enquiries are kept for two years. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe, after which we keep only your address on a do-not-email list so we never write to you again.
6. Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time, change your cookie choices, and cancel a Society membership online. Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with privacy laws, you may also have the right to know what personal information we hold, to receive a copy, to correct it, to have it deleted, and to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do neither). We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
To make a request, email contact@cigars2me.com. We will verify your request using the email address on your order and reply within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent.
7. Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Card details are tokenized by Authorize.Net in your browser. Order records are stored in protected areas of our server that are not reachable from the web. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
